Terms of engagement.
Provider and written agreement
Ignacio Amyad Raduan Munem, Im Gütsch 6, 8122 Binz, Switzerland, is the sole physician providing the services in his own name and on his own account. Administrative contact: office@raduan.ch.
An initial enquiry or a 20-minute call does not by itself establish the scope of an engagement. What you receive, when and at what cost is agreed in writing before work begins.
The individual agreement records the selected engagement, start date, communication arrangements and fees.
Second opinion
A second opinion comprises an integrating review by Amyad Raduan, MD, of the existing documentation agreed on the initial call, including reports, imaging reports and laboratory results. It is not a subspecialty opinion on one organ or one disease. If a subspecialist’s view is needed, the written opinion identifies the kind of specialist to consult.
You receive a structured written opinion explaining what is established, what is uncertain, what the physician would do next and which questions to ask the treating physicians.
The written opinion is delivered within 10 working days of receiving the documentation agreed on the initial call. The engagement includes a 60-minute consultation by video or in Zurich. Documents are requested after the call through HIN Mail.
The fee is CHF 2,500. Every complex case review begins with this second opinion, and this fee forms part of the CHF 16,000 total if both sides decide to continue. The membership credit is governed by the clause below.
Ongoing specialist coordination is outside the second opinion. It does not replace emergency care or the treating physician and does not guarantee a diagnosis, a changed recommendation or a particular result.
Complex case review
Every complex case review begins with a second opinion at CHF 2,500. After the written opinion, both sides decide whether to continue. If both agree, the remaining CHF 13,500 is invoiced. If they do not continue, the fee paid is for the second opinion and you retain the written opinion.
The total fee is CHF 16,000, including the initial second opinion. The fee covers the case up to the 12-week review point. The start date of the 12-week period is recorded in writing. The work includes a written case plan in week 2, coordination with specialists in Switzerland or abroad, a written update every week and a closing report for the treating team.
The engagement ends with the closing report. If the case is still open at the 12-week review point, both sides review where it stands and decide whether to continue as set out below.
Continuation must be agreed in writing before the 12-week review point. It runs in calendar months from the day following that review point, at CHF 5,000 per month. Only whole months are charged; there is no fractional-month billing.
During the engagement, the response arrangements in the availability clause apply. The membership credit is governed by the separate clause below. A case review does not establish annual membership, replace emergency care or take the place of the treating physician.
Membership
Membership provides one personal physician, availability defined in writing and remote continuity between visits. The agreement records the communication channels, response times and annual pool of physician hours.
The physician is based in Zurich and has no premises of his own.
Membership includes a coordinated annual evaluation day in Zurich at partner facilities, a written annual report and a written quarterly brief on the science relevant to the member. Attendance in Zurich is mandatory for every adult member. Minors follow the cadence defined by the paediatric module. Exceptions must be agreed in writing.
Family membership includes each adult, a coordinated paediatric module and a family history comprising the information each member authorises in writing. Each adult retains control of their own information. Information concerning minors is governed by parental authority, as addressed in the confidentiality clause.
Entry is by introduction or after a second opinion or case review. A direct enquiry can begin the initial conversation. The ceiling is 45 to 50 individual or family memberships.
| Composition | Annual fee |
|---|---|
| First adult | CHF 28,000 |
| Each additional adult | CHF 20,000 |
| Each dependent child | CHF 6,000 |
| Next Generation, aged 18 to 30, on their own | CHF 15,000 |
Dependent children: under 18, or up to 25 if dependent. Next Generation: ages 18 to 30, on their own, at CHF 15,000 per year.
Membership fees are billed annually in advance. The composition of the membership and the applicable annual fee are recorded in the agreement.
Annual physician hours
The annual pool is allocated by membership composition.
| Composition | Hours per year |
|---|---|
| First adult | 30 |
| Each additional adult | 20 |
| Each dependent child | 6 |
| Next Generation | 15 |
Each member receives a quarterly statement showing hours used and the remaining annual balance. Unused hours do not carry over and are not reimbursed.
Credit towards membership
One credit of CHF 2,500 applies per person. Credits cannot be accumulated or combined.
After a second opinion, eligibility requires signing the membership agreement within 30 days of the consultation. After a case review, eligibility requires signing within 30 days of the closing report.
The credit is applied to the first adult’s first annual membership fee. It does not guarantee a place. If there is no capacity, the credit is retained until capacity becomes available.
Costs outside the engagement fee
Diagnostics, including laboratory work and imaging, specialist services and hospital care are outside the engagement fee.
The providers invoice these services directly. If RADUAN advances a payment, it is passed on at the exact amount of the third-party invoice. RADUAN receives no commissions, margins or other consideration from any provider.
The written agreement records the external work to be arranged, its authorisation and responsibility for the invoices. All stated engagement fees are in Swiss francs.
Availability, appointments and limits
Initial enquiries receive a reply within two working days. Appointments are arranged directly, beginning with a 20-minute call where appropriate.
During an engagement, a written reply is provided within one working day, Monday to Friday. Scheduled calls take place within five working days. Urgent matters follow the named route set out in the written agreement. A reply does not promise resolution within that time.
Absences are announced in advance. The route for urgent matters set out in the agreement also applies during absences. The agreement records communication channels, the applicable time zone and the named urgent-contact route.
None of the three engagements is an emergency service or a replacement for local physicians. In an emergency, contact the local emergency services and do not wait for an email or message from the practice. Remote contact does not replace an in-person assessment where needed.
Medical judgement, coordination and continuity do not guarantee a particular medical outcome or access to a specific external physician.
Rescheduling, cancellation and termination
Please contact office@raduan.ch as soon as you need to change or cancel an appointment. Appointment changes and termination of the engagement are separate matters.
Any notice period, cancellation charge, treatment of work already performed and settlement of prepaid fees must be stated in the individual agreement and remain subject to mandatory law.
These terms set no cancellation charge, automatic forfeiture of an annual fee or automatic renewal. Mandatory termination rights remain unaffected.
Confidentiality and family information
The physician handles medical information under applicable professional confidentiality and data protection duties. Coordination with other physicians requires an appropriate basis and any necessary authorisation.
Each adult retains control of their own information. The family history integrates what each member authorises in writing. Family membership does not give one adult automatic access to another adult’s information.
For minors, information sharing is governed by parental authority. The written authorisations and the secure document process through HIN Mail record which information is shared and with whom.
Documents and contact channels
Use the website only for identification and practical context. Medical documents are requested after a call through HIN Mail.
WhatsApp Business at +41 77 289 56 18 is for coordination only. Please do not send medical documents, results or urgent medical questions by WhatsApp or through the website. Administrative email: office@raduan.ch.
The privacy notice describes the enquiry process, the handling of medical information received in error and the secure document channel.
Governing law and jurisdiction
Swiss law governs the engagement, subject to any mandatory protections that cannot be displaced by a choice of law.
The agreed place of jurisdiction is Zurich, to the extent a jurisdiction agreement is legally permitted. Mandatory jurisdiction and consumer protections remain unaffected.
