Complex case review
One case, one physician, until the closing report.
For situations that need sustained review and coordination across physicians, specialties or countries: a diagnosis that does not add up, recommendations that conflict, a plan without an owner. Amyad Raduan, MD, takes the file, writes the case plan and coordinates the specialists involved, in Switzerland or abroad, until a closing report for your treating team.
When it makes sense
Several physicians are involved and the next steps need coordination over time. Recommendations conflict, questions stay unanswered, or the work has to move between countries. A second opinion gives you a written assessment and a consultation; a case review adds the continuing work of coordination and the responsibility for the case.
How it begins
Every case review begins with a second opinion. Once you have the written opinion, both sides decide whether to continue. If the answer is yes, the case review starts from there and the remaining fee is invoiced. If the answer is no, you have paid for the second opinion and you keep the written opinion.
How it runs
The first two weeks
Review of the existing documentation and of the questions agreed for the engagement. In week 2 you receive the written case plan: the questions under review and the next steps for coordination with the physicians involved.
Until the closing report
Work follows the case plan, with coordination across specialists in Switzerland or abroad. A written update every week from the first week. During the engagement, a first written reply within one working day. Most cases close within 8 to 12 weeks.
The 12-week review point
If the case is still open after 12 weeks, both sides review where it stands and decide, in writing, whether to continue month by month.
The closing report
A written report for your treating team: the work completed, the position reached and the questions that remain.
What you receive
- The written second opinion the case begins with.
- The written case plan, in week 2.
- A written update every week.
- Coordination with the specialists involved, in Switzerland or abroad.
- The closing report for your treating team.
What is outside the engagement
The fee covers review, planning, coordination and the physician's responsibility for the case. Diagnostics and specialist services are arranged only when indicated and invoiced separately, at cost and with no margin; their invoices are passed on as issued. This is not an emergency service and does not replace your treating physicians.
Price
CHF 16,000, including the second opinion it begins with. The fee covers the case up to the 12-week review point. Continuation after that point costs CHF 5,000 per month, agreed in writing.
If you enter membership
CHF 2,500 is credited against membership if you join within 30 days of the closing report. Membership provides an ongoing relationship with one personal physician, availability set out in writing, an annual evaluation in Zurich and continuity between visits.
